Young Writers Competition

Many congratulations to Bailey Vierthaler who is the winner of our “Young Writers Award”

Thanks to all the entrants who participated. The competition was incredibly well fought out, but Bailey produced two exceptional articles and therefore takes all the plaudits and is crowned winner.

You can gauge for yourself as to the writing style and beguile that this precocious talent has, when her article is published in our issue 3, October and November edition. We simply cannot wait to share her article titled “Book on the shelf” and forthcoming editorials as our “Young Writer columnist!”

Brief bio:

Hello! My name is Bailey Vierthaler; I am fifteen years old and go to Vale Verde International School. Ever since I was young, I have always had a passion for writing, and anything to do with English literature. My all-time favourite book is “I Capture the Castle,” by Dodie Smith, or any novel in the appropriate environment. I believe that sometimes it is nice to simply read a book on a rainy day, a coffee cup in hand and accompanied by soft Beatles music. Music is also a passion of mine. For many years now I have played clarinet, piano and saxophone. Along with that I enjoy making many, many puns! Later in life, I aspire to be a writer or engage in linguistics. After all, creating written content is a pleasure of mine and I look forward to doing more of it in the future!
