Alex Kuznetsov

Alex Kuznetsov, originally from Minsk, Belarus, has long been captivated by art, with his passion nurtured by his family’s connection to Vitebsk—a city renowned for its rich artistic legacy, influenced by icons like Marc Chagall and Kazimir Malevich. Early on, Alex pursued a career in graphic design and dabbled in graffiti, before making a pivotal shift toward Abstract Expressionism in 2010 after a significant life event.

Kuznetsov’s vibrant works are deeply rooted in the transformative power of color, influenced by his graffiti background. He wields large aluminium rulers and squeegees to create bold, sweeping strokes of acrylic paint. These energetic marks result in fluid, abstract compositions that marry control with spontaneity, exploring the delicate tension between presence and memory. Urban elements are subtly embedded into his pieces, evoking abstracted shapes and futuristic landscapes.

His work has been exhibited internationally in cities such as Geneva, Paris, Barcelona, New York, and Moscow, with his art collected by global art enthusiasts. Kuznetsov has also collaborated with major brands, including Adidas, Nike, and Absolut, as well as high-profile institutions like the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation.

For Alex, painting is a continuous quest for harmony. It’s an endeavor to transform inner visions into meaningful, life-affirming experiences for the viewer, embodying Freud’s perspective of art as valuable reflections of reality.
